ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reconcile and enter company credit card statements and transactions;
- Receive and track vendor W-9s, certificates of insurance, subcontract lien waivers;
- Verify invoices against purchase orders and ensure goods or services were received before issuing payment to vendors;
- Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted;
- Process and make payment of vendor invoices;
- Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements;
- Process service work invoices;
- Other responsibilities as assigned by manager.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Associates degree in accounting or similar field preferred.
- 2 years related experience.
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting systems.
- Ability to utilize new software and systems.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational and problem solving skills.
Physical Demands:
- Sit for long periods of time.
- Frequently enter data into computer with keyboard.
- Constantly communicate with customers and teammates through online chat, email and verbal exchanges.
