ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Quote and bid projects, including major construction projects.
• Request, evaluate and manage vendor and subcontractor bids.
• Develop and maintain strong network of professional relationships within the industry.
• Negotiate and resolve all customer concerns.
• Perform routine duties indepentently, using sound judgment, thoroughness, and competence.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or similar or equivalent experience and education.
• 5 years experience as an estimator in projects ranging from$1,000 to $5 million.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedules.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Proficiency in CAD and estimating software.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills.
• Must have valid Driver’s License.
• Electrical knowledge preferred.

Physical Demands:

• Sit for long periods of time.
• Frequently enter data into computer with keyboard.
• Constantly communicate with customers, vendors and teammates through online chat, email and verbal exchanges.
• Wear required PPE.
