ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Quote and bid projects, including major construction projects.
- Request, evaluate and manage vendor and subcontractor bids.
- Develop and maintain strong network of professional relationships within the industry.
- Negotiate and resolve all customer concerns.
- Perform routine duties indepentently, using sound judgment, thoroughness, and competence.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or similar or equivalent experience and education.
- 5 years experience as an estimator in projects ranging from$1,000 to $5 million.
- Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedules.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Proficiency in CAD and estimating software.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills.
- Must have valid Driver’s License.
- Electrical knowledge preferred.
Physical Demands:
- Sit for long periods of time.
- Frequently enter data into computer with keyboard.
- Constantly communicate with customers, vendors and teammates through online chat, email and verbal exchanges.
- Wear required PPE.
